OAHU, HAWAII

Since I was six years old, I’d wanted to travel to Hawaii. The white sand and clear blue waters are enough to drive a beach lover like me crazy. Having the opportunity to do what I love (photography) here made me even more ecstatic.

I always had the dream of listening to 24 / 7 / 365 by Surfaces on a Hawaiian Beach and when that dream finally came true, my soul was in a state of peace. While the song is an interpolation of the popular Bossa Nova song, The Girl from Ipanema by Antonio Carlos Jobim, it seemed fitting for me to listen to it under a Hawaiian sunset. Even before going to Oahu, I could already envision myself having the experience of a lifetime.

Honestly, that’s why I love traveling so much. Venturing to new places and cultivating and experience that immerses you a specific place is what makes traveling so beautiful.

When traveling to Hawaii, it was only fitting that I brought my cameras with me. This trip was actually my first time making a short travel video with my Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera 6k Pro. It was very challenging considering I only had the camera for two months at the time, but the end result was well worth it.
